About Hale Middle School
The Hale Middle School in Stow, Massachusetts is part of the Nashoba Regional School District, Michael L. Wood, Superintendent. Hale currently educates approximately 288 students in grades 6-8. The curriculum areas consist of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, French (in grade 8 only), Physical Education, Music, Art, Health and Technology Engineering. Supporting these are the Library/Media Center, Computer Room, Guidance Department, and Nurse's Office which serve the entire student and staff population. In addition to the regular education programs, Hale also has a team-based Special Education department and the R.I.S.E. program, both of which serve students in grades 6-8.
Hale also supports a variety of extra-curricular activites including organized sports, Art Club, Math Counts, Student Council, HawkNews Video Club, Chorus, Jazz Band, Model United Nations, Yearbook, and a yearly musical produced by Hale parents. Hale has also sent very successful Destination Imagination (formerly Odyssey of the Mind) teams to the State and National competitions.
