General Guidelines for Work Cited at Hale:

  • Use reverse indentation for all entries.
  • Single space entries and double space between entries.
  • All entries will begin with a capital letter and end with a period.
  • All entries must be alphabetized by the first letter of the first entry in the citation (usually author's last name or the title of the work).
  • Ignore articles (An, A or The).
  • Entries should not be numbered.
