Principal's Message

June 2008

Dear Hale Parents/Guardians,

Could it possibly be the end of another school year? Working together we continue to develop and provide our students with a well-rounded academic and social-emotional education. Our updated school improvement plan will guide us through the next few years. I look forward to continuing our work during the next school year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have volunteered their time and efforts this year. You have donated your time in many ways this year including: School Council, Parent Support Group, Math Counts, Destination Imagination, Athletic Coaching, School Musical, Library, School Store, Newsletter, Office Help, Stow Friends of Music, Chaperones for Dances and Field Trip, etc. Without you the many opportunities offered to our students would not be possible. The Hale School Community is very grateful for all you have done and continue to do.

I would be remiss if I did not thank my faculty for their outstanding dedication to the education and well being of your children. They are truly professionals in the finest sense of the word. They are life long learners who spend many hours outside of the school day in preparation for their responsibilities and commitment to their students. I am proud to be their “educational leader”.

The Hale School community will be losing two faculty members at the end of this school year. Greg Harrison will be continuing his pursuit of a career in School Counseling. We thank Greg for his efforts on behalf of our students during his four years at Hale; teaching Science, Physical Education and Health, coaching Cross-Country and Track; Intramurals and Project Adventure.

Susan Cimasi is retiring after twenty-two years of teaching Math at Hale. We thank Sue for her many years of dedicated teaching and work with Math Counts. Her warmth, wisdom and friendship will be missed by all.

A special thank you to our custodial and cafeteria staff that provide us with a safe and clean environment and keep us nourished every day of the year. That is no small task and we are all grateful.

I personally want to thank Barbara Colleton, our school secretary, for her continued dedication to the Hale community and her friendship and support. Her efforts reach far beyond her secretarial responsibilities and are appreciated by all who are touched by her.

As always, if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I wish you all a Happy and Healthy Summer!

Sincerely,

Margaret
